The job
You are not a player. You hold the phone, you read what it shows you, and you keep the room moving. The app remembers everything — who is alive, who acted, who is protected — so you can spend your attention on delivery instead of bookkeeping.
Performance
- — Pause after a name. Silence does the work.
- — Don't rush the night. Slow is scary.
- — If nobody died, look worried.
- — Never laugh during the reveal. Even when it is funny.
- — Say the dead player’s role like it costs you something.
- — Read the line, then look up. Do not read and talk at once.
- — When a player protests, let them finish. It is better theatre.
Roles in Millers Hollow
Villager
No ability. Votes, talks, and lies convincingly about nothing.
You have no gift but your own judgement. Use it.
Werewolf
Each night the pack collectively chooses one player to kill.
The change takes you at moonrise. You are not alone.
Seer
Each night, learn whether one player is Mafia.
You see what walks beneath the skin. Say nothing too soon.
Healer
Protect one player from death. Never the same player twice in a row.
You know which herbs hold death at the door. One night, one life.
Warden
Dies in place of the player they guard. Absorbs one attack.
You stand between the wolf and the door. You do not step aside.
Hunter
On death, immediately takes one other player with them.
If you fall, your last shot is already aimed.
Witch
One Life potion, one Death potion. Sees who is about to die.
Two vials. One gives back a life. One takes it.
Poacher
Two night kills. Dies of guilt if a shot hits the village.
Two shots, and no one to forgive you if you are wrong.
Elder
May reveal during the day; their vote then counts twice.
The village listens to you — once you decide to be heard.
Cursed
A true villager who reads as Mafia to the Seer.
You are no wolf. The Seer will not believe you.
Servant
Knows the wolves. The wolves do not know them. No kill.
You know their faces. They will never know yours.
Alpha
Once per game, a Rampage kill that ignores all protection.
Once, the pack hunts as one, and no herb will help them.
Matchmaker
Links two players as Lovers. If one dies, the other dies of grief.
You bind two hearts. Neither survives the other.
Fool
Wins instantly if executed by daytime vote. Night deaths do not count.
Make them hang you. That is the whole trick.
The Thing in the Woods
Kills each night, immune to the Mafia kill, and wins alone.
You are not a wolf. You are worse.
Grudge
Wins if their assigned target is executed by vote.
One name. See them swing and you have won.
Whisperer
Silences one player: no speaking and no vote the following day.
You know a secret. They will keep quiet all day.
Lord's Son
Survives the first execution by revealing. The vote is spent.
The first rope will not hold you. The second will.
Gravedigger
Each night, learn the exact role of one dead player.
The dead still answer, if you ask them properly.
Priest
One-shot: makes a player immune to all death for a full cycle.
One blessing. Nothing touches them for a day and a night.
Sleepwalker
Learns whether anyone died last night — but not who.
You wander. You know whether the night took someone.
